Starter #35: What have you been taught about MLA formatting? What goal do you have for work time today?
Lesson on MLA: We will use this information to edit and add to our rough draft to make sure we are giving credit to the people we are getting information from and that our paper is formatted correctly. This formatting is something you will continue to use in all of your Humanities classes and in college if you choose to go. Powerpoint and Cheat Sheet Project Work Time You can choose to work on your mask or essay depending on your progress toward our due dates. Expectations for work time: Classroom is quiet to let others focus; if you need to talk, speak quietly or at a whisper. Headphones with music is okay. If it is too loud, you will be asked to move seats or the assigned seats will be changed for the whole class. Ask 3 classmates and read the directions before bringing a question to the teacher. If art materials are used, they need to be cleaned up. This includes brushes rinsed, sinks and desks cleaned, and materials placed back in their homes. Sign up on the whiteboard to conference with me. Revisit the project checklist and your goals if you are unsure what to work on.
