For the first half of class we will be studying Shakespearean sonnets through modern music led by another guest. The second half will be Production as usual. See Classroom for a list of group expectations and to do's based on your assigned role.
Today we will be doing a theme study led by one of the practicum students in our class and spend the other half of class on Production. Check Classroom for a reminder of focuses for your team in production time.
Beginning today we will be engaging in Theater Company work in addition to Production to get to know our play more in-depth. The procedures and groups for engaging in this work are on Classroom. One group member needs to submit the group's work on Act 2 Scene 1 by the end of the class.
Production time today also has a list of new tasks which are found on Classroom. Directors - your focus will be on blocking and stage directions/logistics now that the script is cut Producers - make sure we are on track for our deadline and encourage groups to make the needed changes to meet them. You also will be getting together a PR team to tell the community about our production' Art Team - make a master document to keep track of all the props, sets, and puppets that need to be made to check them off on as we go. Begin working your way down the list and making needed pieces. Tech Team - make a master document of people involved in each scene to organize for recording. Paint the stage! To start class we will have a guest lesson on characters before moving into work time for production! Today you should have your cut scripts from directors and be able to start running lines as well! If you are not directly involved in a production activity during this time, please be doing this.
